Evening Journey

🔹 Asr Prayer & Intention Setting (5:15 PM – 5:45 PM)

We begin with Asr prayer, grounding ourselves in intention. Then, informal yet meaningful conversations set the tone for the evening—prompting discussions around purpose, impact, and ethical responsibility in our respective fields.

🔹 Talk #1 (5:45 PM – 6:15 PM)

“Rebuilding the World: Innovation for Social Good”
Islamic history is rich with examples of ethical trade, problem-solving, and innovation for the collective good. This session features a social entrepreneur or startup founder who has reimagined business as a force for societal benefit—leveraging innovation while upholding integrity, fairness, and sustainability.

🔹 Iftar & Maghrib Prayers (6:30 PM – 6:45 PM)

In the spirit of unity, we break our fast together with dates and a nourishing meal, just as the Prophet ï·º encouraged. A dedicated prayer space is available for Maghrib, reminding us that every gathering is an opportunity to renew our connection with our Creator.

🔹 Talk #2 (6:45 PM – 7:15 PM)

“Design as an Act of Service”
The Islamic tradition has always emphasized beauty with purpose—whether in architecture, calligraphy, or daily interactions. This talk explores how human-centered design can become a means of service, aligning form with function to create ethical, inclusive, and meaningful experiences.

🔹 Talk #3 (7:15 PM – 7:45 PM)

“Experience Design: Crafting Meaningful Interactions”
A deeper dive into experience design, this session reflects on how we can design digital and physical experiences that promote accessibility, ease, and engagement—while also considering the ethical implications of our work.

🔹 Collaboration Session (8:00 PM – 8:45 PM)

Inspired by the Islamic tradition of shura (consultation), this session invites participants to work in groups, addressing real-world challenges such as community-building, sustainability, and ethical entrepreneurship. By brainstorming solutions together, we embody the spirit of cooperation and problem-solving that is essential to societal progress.

🔹 Dinner & Closing Reflections (8:45 PM – 9:15 PM)

Over a wholesome meal, we reflect on key takeaways from the evening—how our individual skills, talents, and ideas can contribute to a greater collective mission.

🔹 Isha & Taraweeh (9:15 PM onwards)

Ending the night with Isha and Taraweeh, we find solace in prayer, seeking blessings for the knowledge shared and the ideas that will take shape in the days ahead.
